Daily Intentions

☀️ **Start of Fasting
وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتُ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ**
I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.

🌙 **End of Fasting
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ**
O Allah! For You I have fasted and upon your provision, I have broken my fast.

Personal Goals for the Month
It is recommended to have at least two goals for the month of Ramadan:
- Adopt a good habit
- Remove a bad habit (or give up a sin)
Goals
With Ramadan, we can easily form personalized SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achieveable, Relevant, Time-bound).
An example of a SMART Ramadan goal is:
<aside>
🎯 Memorize Surah Mulk by the end of the month
- Specific: mentions a specific Surah
- Measureable: you can measure whether you memorize the Surah at the end of the month (or whether you memorize different verses during the month)
- Achievable: based on your schedule, can you achieve this?
- Relevant: insha’Allah, all goals are relevant as they increase us in our good deeds and our piety (for the sake of Allah only)
- Time-bound: by the end of the month

This example (memorizing a Surah) is a goal that is a Ramadan Goal
as it does not relate to Adopt a Good Habit
or Remove a Bad Habit (or Sin)
An example of a SMART Habit goal is:
<aside>
🎯 Read at least 1 page of Quran daily (even after Ramadan)
- Specific: mentions the minimum page number
- Measureable: you can measure whether you do this daily, and whether you do this outside of Ramadan
- Achievable: based on your schedule, can you achieve this?
- Relevant: insha’Allah, all goals are relevant as they increase us in our good deeds and our piety (for the sake of Allah only)
- Time-bound: the habit will hopefully be gained during Ramadan (insha’Allah) and practice throughout the year
